Do You Really Want Peace on Earth?
Are you serious about bringing peace to EARTH? If you remain as you are, the world remains as it is. Things usually disperse and deteriorate. Do you want to go to Heaven? Are you sure of where, when, how, what you really realize? Both the self realm and our shared, common world depend on our knowledge and action. If we want change, then we must change.
What should we do then? We must know and act. Do we really know and act? Consider: we are now undergoing the sixth mass extinction – the first caused by humans – with more than a hundred species per day becoming extinct. This is a direct consequence of the global problematique: a toxic combination of global warming, pollution, population explosion, depletion of resources, poverty, wars, economic and ecological deterioration, and disasters, all interrelated.
How can we solve these problems if we don’t know or understand them? We must understand the crisis faced by the global life system first, and then we must act accordingly. We must know, think, network, and act globally with global communication, cooperation, and consolidation beyond boundaries of nation, religion, gender, generation, species, and space.
The postings on this site regularly include ideas and actions that can improve our world, so we offer the following. The first two are links to events taking place tomorrow, Saturday, October 24. These are followed by two document downloads, available on the Missouri Zen Center’s web site, that provide information and concrete actions to address the current global crisis. The content is based on common ethical principles among religions that are acceptable to non-religious practitioners as well (no killing, stealing, etc.). The world can stop wars, exploitation, etc., and solve all problems here and now. Peace on earth really depends on your and my practice!

Peace is here. Nobody needs to change. Nowhere to go, nothing to get.
I’m not too worried about the earth, it can shake us off like a bad case of fleas whenever it wants and return to normal in no time. If Humans don’t start limiting their own population…don’t worry, the earth will find a way to do it for us through: natural disasters, famine, plague, wars over resources and the biggest looming problem no one wants to bring up….lack of fresh water. There will be less of us one way or another, and then all the “symptoms” of overpopulation (pollution, global warming, loss of wilderness areas etc.) will disappear as well.

All must change, because all are “karma-machines” and in “Dependent Origination.”
Everywhere to go, because “nowhere is yours.”
Everything to get, because “nothing is yours.”

Anyone is part and parcel of all: earth, water, fleas, flowers, food, fatuses, blood, brains, hearts, humans, etc.
An atom in the air or a bit in the brain can destroy the world or the heart. Holiness, peace, truth, beauty, goodness, life, etc. are inseparable. You, I, ice, rain, genes, generations, etc. are inseparable.

The world can stop wars, exploitation, etc., and solve all problems here and now. Peace on earth really depends on your and my practice! Rosan, Sadly I disagree, We wont feed the children! Who hasn’t seen the commercials from Feed The Children? We still have hungry children am I correct! If we wont feed these children do you think that we will work together on the other world issues that you would think would be a much lower Priority?Doesn’t sound reasonable to me.
What should we do then? Rosan I hope you achieve your objective, but I have very very little faith that you shall, (sorry) First law of strategy Objective must be Obtainable! Don’t bite off more than you can chew.
Work on feeding the children of the world first with all focus! Achieve the object to End World Hunger this would earn you trust, people want to follow winners, those that have proven records of achieving objectives,
Your heart is in the right place but you can only do so much,

Awaking is not changing. It is seeing what is already present.

“Really” is not simply watching TV commercials, but reality of yourself.
“You limited!” said Confucius. We limit ourselves due to karma.
It is not lack of resources and systems, but lack of real knowledge and action(ex. food is more than enough to feed everyone). How can we stop our karmas and solve problems really (wholly)?

Don’t mistake (limit)! I am not insulting you. “YOU” means every one. I said we limt ourselves due to karma. So, everyone must stop karma. Everyone must become truth and peace. Otherwise we cannot make truth and peace. Only by stopping karma (physical, verbal, mental actions), we can become and make truthful, peaceful, holy, limitless. Then only we witness the truth that we are part and parcel of the whole and act accordingly. We should not limit our prognoses, practices, liberation, light, love, life, learning,etc. We must not limit our will, wisdom, ability, action, etc., don’t we. We should not grab the pointing finger (to the moon of truth) or the tail (of an elephant) and fight for it, but share our info and action in and for truth and peace. Do you agree?
