Darwin’s a star
When Randy Adams retired as president of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra without leaving a successor in place, it left his assistant, Dianne Darwin, without a boss. When Jeff Trammel, the SLSO’s director of public relations and media, took another job soon after, it left the orchestra without a PR voice.
So Darwin stepped into the PR spot back in September, and was recently recognized by her colleagues at Powell Symphony Hall with a “Bravo” award “for a star performance.” Wrote facilities manager Cynthia Schon in her nomination, Darwin “has generated an enormous amount of coverage on behalf of the SLSO,” and praised her “enthusiasm for the orchestra and Powell Hall.”
Darwin is unfailingly helpful, kind, and courteous — always rare commodities — and her enthusiasm really shines through. She’s earned her star.
