Kristin Chenoweth to appear with the SLSO
Coloratura soprano/Broadway diva Kristin Chenoweth will perform a concert with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, January 10, at the Fox Theatre.
Chenoweth made her name with the revival of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” and won a Tony for the role of Glinda in “Wicked.” She also sings a mean “Glitter and Be Gay,” from Leonard Bernstein’s “Candide;” we can hope that one will be on the program in January.
Chenoweth’s sung with orchestras in other cities, including the New York Philharmonic and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. This will be her first performance in St. Louis, and the first time for the SLSO to perform onstage at the Fox.
Tickets — from $45 to $100 — will go on sale on Saturday, November 22.

I can’t wait to see her in person! She has just an amazing voice and personality!
Blast! VOX seems to have officially vanished from the XM radio lineup.
Blogcomments, this one is a little off-topic for this post. However, I understand that XM has simply rearranged which channels go where. VOX and the other classical channels are somewhere in the 70s now.
Quite a bit of singer variety for the SLSO that weekend; Kelly Kaduce that Friday (Powell) and Sunday (TouPAC), as well as Kristin Chenoweth sandwiched in between. Wonder who’ll get the bigger audience….
