Thompson has another poor start

CINCINNATI _ Righthander Brad Thompson had his third straight mediocre start for the Cardinals today as the Cincinnati Reds touched him up for five runs in five innings as they took a 5-2 lead over the St. Louis Cardinals into the late innings at Great American Ball Park.
Thompson has given up 13 earned runs in his last 16 innings covering the three starts. His next start is slated for Friday at Wrigley Field against the Chicago Cubs but that might come under advisement.
One of the two Cardinals’ runs through eight innings came on a 453-foot homer by rookie Colby Rasmus in the first inning. It was Rasmus’ ninth homer of the season.

craig;dont compare manny to pujols everybody knows manny is a punk.He could care less about anybody but himself which he proved in boston by laying down on his team.And know he shows he also has a brain the size of a piss ant by failing a drug test when you know what their testing for.Albert is the ultimate team player and hes so good he dont need hgh.Plus hes not that stupid to risk everything,The fact is jack is right manny is a scumbag that is hurting the game and you are a jealous punk that dreams at night that the machine was on your team!……As far as duncans slide at 2nd base he was trying to break up a double play and i loved it wish he woulda made more contact and dont worry the reds wont retaliate all they have is a team full of candyasses!!!
Dick Ankiel, Dufus Duncanthit, AA Thurston are the Moe,Larry and Curley of this team. Yet, everyday they seem to be in the lineup. Go Figure!
