Derrick Goold said he was going to Mizzou for capital-J journalism, but after growing up in the Time Zone Baseball Forgot he was really drawn to MU sitting between two major-league cities. Ludwick should play every day. Period.
Ankiel hitting 5th? Is it an inanimate cardboard cutout of Rick? If so I think it’s a strong move because it has a much better chance of reaching base than the real Rick Ankiel. And it would see more pitches too so it’s a win/win.
Ankiel’s stats after this game: 0-4, 4 k’s
so so tired of Ankiel playing period, and especially hitting 5th. its pathetic. Derosa hot right now and you put the automatic out in between him and Holliday. so stupid. and Rasmus should never bat second. he should be 8th and Lugo 2nd. who puts a .250 hitter in the 2 hole? TLR thats who. so frustrating.
Ricky Stikeout in the lineup. TLR must be expecting a bug problem so he is in there to swat at the bugs
Ludwick should be playing all day…..but it’s tony’s way of keeping him from 100 rbi’s……come on tony be a better man than that!!!
Joe Dirt,
You are sooooo wrong.
Ankiel will only get 3ks tonight in 4ABs.
Guys, chill out. The players need to be rested to prepare for post-season. Ludwick hasn’t been 100% all year, so a rest once or twice a week in September can only help him. Likewise, Ryan can use the rest and the bench needs at bats to remain sharp.
If TLR truly wanted to unleash the lefties, he would have started Thurston, too.
I’d love to see DeRosa get some rest too. Let’s see what David Freese can do. Maybe Freese gets the last roster spot on the bench for the playoffs.
