SLSO/NYC: Robertson’s surprise gig continues to get attention
The repercussions of H.K. Gruber’s non-arrival in New York for last Friday night’s concert with David Robertson and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra continue to echo. Thanks to Robertson’s last-minute debut as a singer/kazooist in Zankel Hall, he and the SLSO are getting a lot of favorable attention in a lot of places.
The latest outlet to jump on the bandwagon: National Public Radio, which will feature Robertson (in a live phone interview from Milan, where he’s conducting at the moment) on Thursday’s “Talk of the Nation” show at about 1:30 p.m. Central Time.
Here’s the note about it from SLSO director of communications Adam Crane:
David Robertson will be on NPR’s Talk of the Nation live tomorrow (Thursday) at approximately 1:30 PM talking about the SLSO Carnegie concerts. You can listen on KWMU - 90.7 FM or www.kwmu.org.

Not on yet at 1:30 PM CDT. From NPR’s page, it looks as though DR will be on in the 2 PM hour.
