Listening to music: Trying “antique” technology on a teen

Remember the Walkman? Remember the excitement when you could first take your music with you even when you stepped out of your car?
Earbuds?!?
It’s long since been superseded by successor technologies, of course., and we await the inspiration that will make MP3 players seem clunky.
