Opera baby: OTSL’s O’Learys expect

They’ve got the house and the yard; now Opera Theatre of St. Louis general director Timothy O’Leary and his wife, Kara, are expecting their first baby in mid-January.
Tim O’Leary says he found out during OTSL’s artists welcome party, when Kara called with the news. The O’Learys have now finished relocating - a process that took 18 months, from the time he first assumed his duties as executive director through Kara’s arrival with the final load of their belongings in May.
“We always said that part of the reason to come to St. Louis was to put down roots,” said O’Leary, whose house in Flora Place will be 100 in 2010. “This is definitely a part of that.”
