It’s been a tradition for 19 years now: “St. Louis Summer Sings,” at Webster University. The “Summer Sings,” directed by Kathryn Bowers, are a series of three Tuesday evening sessions in which participants sight-read choral masterworks, giving performances for their own enjoyment.
This year’s offerings are familiar: Handel’s “Messiah” (July 7), Haydn’s “Creation” (July 14) and Mendelssohn’s “Elijah” (July 21). Each sing starts at 7:30 at Webster’s Community Music School; scores are available for loan. The cost is $10 per sing ($25 for season tickets and $35 for couples’ season tickets); students with ID get in free. For more information, call 314-968-7035.
