This Friday D.C. Anderson, the actor playing the nervous producer Andre in ”The Phantom of the Opera” at the Fox, has a great way to unwind after the show. He’s giving a little party and show to launch his new CD of original material, “Close Companions.”

The party - which sounds like much more sophisticated post-theater fun than the usual drinks and dessert - starts at 11 p.m. at the Kranzberg Arts Center, 501 North Grand Boulevard. (That’s right down the street from the Fox.)

The actor/singer will be accompanied by David Robison on piano and Carol Schmidt (of the legendary Jasmine) on acoustic guitar. Reservations aren’t necessary; $15 covers the concert and CD. Want more of a preview? You can listen to D.C. Anderson right here.
