SLSO/KFUO live broadcasts: Concert 3 this Saturday night

They’re not dead yet, and KFUO-99.1 FM’s live Saturday night broadcasts of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra continue this week with that musical Energizer Bunny, Nicholas McGegan, on the podium.
He’ll conduct Mendelssohn’s incidental music to “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” done the way it’s supposed to be, with chorus; Fiala’s English Horn Concerto in E-flat major, with the SLSO’s own Callie Banham as soloist; and, to open Handel’s “Occasional Oratorio” Overture.
McGegan will also be one of announcer Ron Klemm’s two guests at intermission. (I’ll be the other.) The performance starts at 8 p.m.
