“In the Heights” dancers offer a master class in Latin dance

Daniel Cruz and Kristina Fernandez, two members of the cast of “In the Heights,” will  teach choreography from the Broadway hit at  master dance class on Friday, Nov. 13.

The hour-long class starts at 4:45 at the Stages St. Louis Performing Arts Academy, 444 Chesterfield Center.

The show won four Tony awards, including Best Musical and Best Choreography. It tells the story of a vibrant Latino community in Manhattan. where three generations of musical styles mingle on a hot summer day. “In the Heights” plays the Fox Theatre Nov. 10-22,

The master class is open to dancers at least 13 years old. Participants should dance at an intermediate or advanced level. There is a $10 class fee, and advance registration is strongly encouraged. To register, call 636-530-5959.

The class is presented by the Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation is collaboratation with the Stages Academy.
