New Curator at SLAM

The St. Louis Art Museum has appointed Tricia Y. Paik assistant curator of modern and contemporary art.  Paik’s primary responsibilities will be choosing artists and developing exhibitions in the museum’s “Currents” series and New Media series. Paik was formerly curatorial assistant in the drawing department at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and she also worked as a research and exhibition assistant at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Paik received her B.A. in English and art history from Dartmouth College and her m.a. in art history from the Institute of Fine Arts at New York University. Her master’s thesis was on Maya Lin’s Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Paik will start working here in early 2009.
