Broadway loves “White Christmas”

The St. Louis-born musical “White Christmas” the was the number-one grossing show on Broadway for two consecutive weeks in December, bumping “Wicked” from its usual spot to number two.
Paul Blake, executive producer at the Muny, is co-producer and co-author of the show, which had its first public outing at the Muny in 2000. “Needless to say, I am overjoyed and proud,” Blake reports from New York. The “new” - okay, newly adapted - Irving Berlin show ended its limited Broadway run on Jan. 4.
