‘Avenue Q’ cast on Thursday’s ‘Jimmy Fallon’
The hilarious Tony-winning “Avenue Q” is closing next month on Broadway, but stay up late (and tolerate Jimmy Fallon) Thursday night to watch the entire cast perform “The Internet is for Porn” on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” (11:35 p.m. on NBC). Hopefully, the young’uns will be fast asleep by then — these puppets aren’t exactly kid friendly. (They’re also in no way affiliated with “Sesame Street,” the Sesame Workshop or PBS.)
The nationally televised performance will be the first in the six-year history of “Q,” according to Playbill News.
The current cast comprises Ann Harada, Jennifer Barnhart, Robert McClure, Anika Larsen, Danielle K. Thomas, Christian Anderson and Nicholas Kohn. The musical — penned by Jeff Marx, Robert Lopez and Jeff Whitty — is produced on Broadway by Kevin McCollum, Robyn Goodman, Jeffrey Seller, The Vineyard Theatre and The New Group. Closing night on Broadway is scheduled for Sept. 13 at the John Golden Theatre.
The national tour of “Avenue Q” returns to the Fabulous Fox Theatre in St. Louis April 30 through May 2.
