Web Watch: Five Years
Today marks the fifth anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq. A lot has already been said and a lot more will be.
Our bureau chief in Washington, Bill Lambrecht, offered this post not too long ago.
Most polls show a majority of Americans view the war negatively, and in a lot of cases, want U.S. troops out. For the latest numbers, visit Pollingreport.com’s Iraq section.

There’s also a lot of chatter out there on the Web in blogs, vlogs, etc. I’m posting a smattering of the videos this week.
A group of protesters pulled of a “freeze” at Union Station in D.C. this week:
One YouTube user published a patriotic montage of dramatic photos of soldiers timed to music:

And lastly, our presidential candidates this week discussing the war:

[...] have also posted a good bit of the online chatter out there this week as people around the country observe the anniversary. (No Ratings Yet) [...]
Five years of the wrong war, in the wrong place at the wrong time! Now, in the real war in Afghanistan, we face a resurgent Taliban and al Qaeda (who attacked the US!) who control some 10% of the country, Mr. Kharzai has another 20% and the warlords have the rest.
And, still, nothing is done about the flow of drugs from Afghanistan to the US which feeds the terrorists’ coffers and kills our children!
