Obama heads to Missouri

WASHINGTON–Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., appears to have general election fever. The presidential candidate, who hasn’t yet locked up the Democratic nomination, is planning a trip to Missouri tomorrow, even though the Show-Me State’s primary is long over.

So while his rival, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., hits the trail in West Virginia, Kentucky and other states with looming primaries, Obama appears ready to turn his attention to states that will be key battlegrounds come November, in the contest against presumptive GOP Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.

The details about Obama’s trip to Missouri were sparse; his campaign said he’d be in Cape Girardeau at an event with Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo, one of his biggest backers, to talk about  economic issues and “restoring the American Dream for working families.” Ah yes, those folks he has failed to win over so far, even as he inches closer to becoming the party’s nominee.

Vote for McCain if you want to lose your Employer Health Insurance!

McCain plan to reform health care: It’s scary

“The proposal should scare the heck out of the millions of Americans who rely on employer-based coverage. Iowans who have tried to buy affordable coverage on their own know they need more than a tax credit and good health. Sometimes they need a winning lottery ticket.

Buying individual policies means having your health history reviewed. It means not having the bargaining power and protections that come with being part of a plan offered by an employer. And it’s expensive.”

LP,
Nice logic dude. You would rather have HALF of the country be uninsured (most likely including YOU), than have universal healthcare.
