Web Watch: Russell Simmons and superdelegates
Here’s an interesting Web site I stumbled upon this morning: Global Grind, a social/political/music network founded by hip hop mogul Russell Simmons.
According to Simmons (via the NYT) the web portal’s purpose is to “connect the hip-hop generation — motivate them politically and socially.” For full disclosure, Simmons supports Obama.
One very recent item is particularly interesting: A Daily Voice item on black superdelegates.
Russell Simmons is an Independent who thinks that Sen. Obama, Democrat is the best candidate for President.
Simmons was a supporter of Republican, Michael Steele, 2006 for the U.S. Senate, Maryland, who however, lost to a Democrat.
Simmons is also the founder of the Hip Hop Summit organization, which has been a great service to young adults in America.
