Web Watch: ‘What am I doing here?’

Meant to put this up earlier.

“So the question is: What am I doing here?”

That’s how former Sen. John Edwards started it all off. Of course, the immediate answer that came to mind: Trying to be a little less irrelevant.

But all joking aside, my own question: Just what does Edwards’ endorsement of Sen. Barack Obama do? Is this the nail in Sen. Hillary Clinton’s campaign coffin? Or is this too late to do her any damage?

Edwards’ endorsement has been referred to as “long awaited.” And for many watching the extended primary season all this time, you could add “not entirely unexpected,” what with the way he routinely gave Clinton more flak than Obama.

Of course, the Clinton people look at the announcement as “too long awaited” to matter. “We respect John Edwards, but as the voters of West Virginia showed last night, this thing is far from over,” said Clinton campaign chair Terry McAuliffe in a statement.

I’m posting the video of Edwards’ speech from Michigan below. What do you think?

What does it mean? It means that the Clintons will probably call him (Edwards) a “traitor” along with Richardson and others. Of course it would mean even more if Edwards throws his 18 pledged delegates to Obama.

It is obvious that Adam Jadhav is looking through the same distorted lens as Hillary Clinton. Appears neither believe or will accept that the nail was in the coffin of her campaign way before Edward’s endorsement.
