Event for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
SAVE THE DATE: The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Dream Gala is set for May 9 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Kemp Auto Museum on Chesterfield Airport Road.
The foundation will honor Arnold Donald at the gala with the chapter’s highest award, the “Living and Giving Award,” in recognition of Donald’s philanthropy and efforts to help bring about a cure for the disease.
The event theme: “Unmask a Cure - Dream Gala,” has been planned as a tribute to Donald’s childhood in New Orleans. The party will begin in the French Quarter, be followed by a parade through the Garden District and end with seating in an opulent jazz club. There will be plenty of beads, hurricanes, mimes and saxophone music to carry the theme through the night.
Food from Russo’s gourmet catering will have a Southern air and music by the Fabulous Motown Revue will close out the night.
The evening will include a memorial tribute to the late Tiffany Souers, who had volunteered with JDRF. Douglas Yaeger, CEO of Laclede Gas, is the honorary chair of the gala; Laura Fraley and Connie Kurowski are event co-chairs. For ticket information contact Sue Batterson at 314-729-1846, extension 12, or email her at sbatterson@jdrf.org.

Hope Doug Yaeger can run a JDRF fundraiser and treat volunteers better than he does at Laclede. He’s doesn’t give a schnitt about anyone except himself.
