America’s Next Top Model schedules local auditions
LEGGY LADIES: Local auditions for the CW’s “America’s Next Top Model” Cycle 14 will begin at 8 a.m., July 11 at Patricia Stevens College in the Mansion House Complex in Downtown St. Louis.
While Tyra won’t be there, her minions will and they’ll be looking for the next hot thing to bring to the reality show.
The show says the local crew will be looking for women between the ages of 18-27, at least 5′7″ tall and who represent diverse backgrounds, shapes and sizes. Let’s remember their definition of diverse shapes isn’t exactly the same as that of many other people, as can be evidenced by the controversy that surrounded the win of “plus size” model Whitney Thompson.
Thompson said at the time that she fluctuated between a size 8 and 10. Real plus sizes for women begin after size 14.
The first 150 eligible applicants at the college offices will be guaranteed a taped audition and have the chance to be selected for a private audition with Top Model casting directors at a later date.
