Supermodel and “Project Runway” host Heidi Klum with her soulful pop singer husband Seal are among the first to try out the red carpet for the 80th Annual Academy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles. And Klum certainly knows how to set a high standard. She’s draped in a gorgeous red gown and stand-up shawl collar, but I must say I’m surprised that her look is so sophisticated. Despite the fact that she’s got a tribe of children, she maintains a fabulous body and she’s rarely so reserved. It’s probably a side effect of all that traipsing around in fancy underwear for Victoria’s Secret. Don’t get me wrong. The look is great, but it seems a bit older than I’d expect from the uber-sexy Klum. Klum is dressed in Galliano (a dress that will be auctioned off for charity after the show).

As for Seal, it’s hard to go wrong with a great fitting suit, but the tie is about an inch too skinny.
