Second chances for love and jewelry online

One of my favorite songs of all time is a melancholy medley best rendered by the scratchy, damaged and mournful vocals of Billie Holiday. The lyrics are:

You don’t know what love is
Until you’ve learned the meaning of the blues
Until you’ve loved a love you’ve had to lose
You don’t know what love is…

This should be the soundtrack playing as you peruse the goods at the online second-hand jewelry seller, I Do Now I Don’t.

The site would be better named “I did, but not I don’t and what the heck am I supposed to do with this ring now,” but that was probably a bit long for a web address.

The site is an auction site, so you can bid on love’s lost bounty. It’s a little sad to see how abundant the items are, but in the wide scheme of things perhaps the second or third times the charm.

There are wedding bands, watches, necklaces, other jewelry and even wedding dresses available.

It should be noted that many of the items do not represent failed relationships. Many companies that deal in wedding apparel have sample items on the site and some jewelry is heirloom and other items were merely pawned or probably clearance goods.

Still there appear to be a substantial amount of high-end jewels (Rolex, Cartier, and a gorgeous square-cut 1.75 carat yellow diamond) at below-market prices.
