Miley Cyrus unofficially kicks off the red carpet gown parade at Oscars
St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Miley Cyrus arrives early and gets the first of the buzz in a fairy tale gown that speaks to the sense of escape that most people look for on the red carpet.
The dress looks as weighty as the young multi-talent claimed. We’ll see if the element of fantasy will become a trend as stars seek to distract people from the nation’s financial woes and convince us that the good times are coming.
I love this gown on someone as youthful as Cyrus. She’s at an age that she should want to be a princess.

A wayward soul from Las Vegas, Nevada, who now calls St. Louis home and believes that fashion is relative and capricious, but style is always in favor.
I just said the same thing! Only on a teenager would this look great! So I think she made a great choice.
Have you seen Marissa Tomei’s dress? I’ve never seen such an architectural gem on the red carpet. Tim Gunn was gushing!
This dress is hideous…it looks like the edges got burnt and you would lift up a flap to see what’s underneath like a children’s book. SHe’s a teenager and should dress in something for a teen, not for a 6-year-old.
I disagree with you, Deb. It does look like something a teen would pick, but it does not look good on her. I particularly don’t like the wide belt, and yeah, I agree the skirt looks like flaps to lift up and look at pictures. I don’t like the color on her either. It’s just not flattering. I don’t want to see her in a grown-up slinky number, but this dress is too busy. She’s lost in it. I see the dress, not her, and what’s up wiht her hair? Looks like it didn’t stay in place. Something a bit simpler and a warmer or more vivid color to bring out her skin and hair.
I thought she looked age appropriate and the dress was befitting for a young girl attending such a ‘fairytale’ event. I think Miley gets a lot of flack for just being a teen, give her a break.

Yes, overpriced clothes are going to fix the blues and make us believe that there will be a turkey in every pot soon.
Do you actually believe the stuff you write?
