Battling beauticians compete in St. Charles
It’s time for Beauty Battle II at the Home Nightclub in Ameristar Casino Resort Spa.
No, it’s not a cross between the Miss Universe pageant and Ultimate Fighting, but that could be next.
Six salons will wage war with styling products for the Beauty Battle title and bragging rights.
The troops will include stylists, models, designers and makeup artists in a race to create dazzling looks in front of a live audience amidst the chaotic atmosphere of a nightclub.
The reigning champ: St. Louis Academy, a Paul Mitchell Partner School will be center stage.
The challengers will be Salon De Christé, Lemon Spalon St. Louis, Abigail’s on De Mun, American Image Salon & Spa and Salon Visions.
A design team from each shop will be perched on performance boxes situated above the crowd. Salon winners will once again receive a cash prize.
There will be three rounds: a day, night and avant guard/glamourama look.
The audience will decide the winner.
The battle starts at 10 p.m. on Friday (Aug. 28).
