Nelly will be in town to meet and greet with his home town crew for the launch of an Apple Bottoms boutique area within Dillard’s at the Galleria on Saturday, August 29.

So if you have plans to be at the mall on that day be warned. The crowd will probably be evident by the time the mall opens and the screaming should start when Nelly appears around 2 p.m. and continue until around 4 p.m.

Dillard’s Juniors Department will likely be the scene of a large dose of chaos.

The rumor is that Nelly isn’t coming alone. So you’ll also likely spot some members of his beloved St. Lunatics entourage.

Nelly will be signing autographed photos or merchandise. People making purchases will be ushered into a VIP line, but no purchase is required for a chance to fawn over Nelly.

But non-buyers will want to show up early. The “non-VIP” line will probably be capped at a couple hundred.

The music mogul will be unveiling the latest looks from his body hugging, denim-focused line.

As you might expect from the name, Apple Bottoms, caters to young women of all shapes and sizes.

But although the name celebrates women with a little “junk in the trunk,” I’ve actually never notice that they are any more generous in the seat area, but there does seem to be a little more attention to contouring around the waistline.

And the line isn’t afraid to make rear pockets even smaller than normal on some denim, which makes butts look even bigger.

Apple Bottoms follow a trend of urban female wear that’s full of attitude. It’s not for everyone, but what is.

He should be fixing up Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd like he said he would instead of bringing in a clothing line that most people cannot afford. I am so disappointed in him because he got so much support from his hometown fans in the beginning of his career, only to turn his back on them later. Please encourage him to give back to the ones that made him famous.

No offense, Ms. Nudi, but I don’t think Nelly has turned his back on St. Louis. Maybe he hasn’t done great things for MLK Blvd. yet, but he has accomplished other feats. He’s put a lot of St. Louis musicians into the spotlight. He’s returned for concerts here many times. He was around for a boatload of All-Star Game festivities. And yes, he has a clothing line that he’s promoting right here in town. All of this adds up to publicity, recognition, and dollars. I think he’s done ok, myself.
