OK, so I couldn’t ask about the rampant baby rumors while Kimora was here to jump start the frenzy over St. Louis Fashion Week. Her media wranglers said, “no personal questions,” lest the interview be terminated faster than a diva can snap her manicured fingertips.

But the “phat” fashion maven wore a lovely form fitting sheath dress in a pleasant shade of pinkish melon and if there’s a bump under there, it’s tiny. She’s an Amazon, so nothing about her is particularly tiny, but the slight pouch around her mid-section is not definitive when you see it in person. In photographs, it can and has looked like a bulge, even her arms have looked beefy, but in person she’s thin (not anemic), shapely, beautiful and glamorous. Maybe the camera really does add 15 pounds. (See exhibit A from a few weeks ago in the blue baby doll at her boyfriend’s movie premiere. Exhibit B, she’s in pink Friday.) It was a very normal belly, a bit convex but not bulbous.

The only thing keeping the belly talk alive is the fact that she hasn’t denied it outright. I mean Kimora is not one to hold her tongue. If people were talking about my mid-section like that I’d have a few cross words to share.
