Fashion Rocks
OK, so you knew that. But these days with more musicians drifting into the fashion world the phrase is literal. For the last few years, one of the most exciting shows during Fashion Week is a high profile concert featuring a barrage of stars, most of whom have design lines of their own, are being courted to start lines or have been the inspiration for other designers. The headliners are always a whos who and the event sells out as soon as tickets are avaiable, but you can have a front row seat from home.
“Style Rocks the Red Carpet” will have a special premiere September 9 for the Fifth Annual Fashion Rocks concert, Tuesday, September 9 at 8:30PM ET/PT.
On the half-hour the network with air a barrage of programs from the “Style Rocks the Red Carpet: Fashion Rocks 2008″ special broadcasting from New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, including pre-event coverage, celebrity interviews, fashion commentary as well as alternate program based on the glamour and style of Fashion Rocks participants past and present.
CBS will air the two-hour Fashion Rocks concert hosted by Denis Leary, including performances by Beyoncé, Black Eyed Peas, Chris Brown, Duffy, Fergie, Justin Timberlake, Keith Urban, Kid Rock, Lil’ Wayne, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Mariah Carey, Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna and more.
Later look for the “Fashion Rocks: All Access Pass” premieres Saturday, September 27 at 7PM ET/PT on Style. Following Style’s exclusive red carpet coverage at Fashion Rocks 2008, the network will offer up the best fashion moments with an overview of the celebrities’ looks. The special also goes backstage and after the concert, Style cameras get VIP access to some of the most fashionable after parties.
