Dress up without the stress
As the holiday season approaches and you find yourself dazed, confused and aimless because you are about two weeks away from my holiday fashion spread (coming to news stands and computer terminals near you, Nov. 28), I’d like to note that simple and chic is always in style.
No matter what color is in or out. No matter if sparkle and shine are all the rage. No matter what neckline you choose. No matter how much layered jewelry is declared necessity. No matter what decade revival we are currently being assaulted with… simple and sophisticated can never, ever go wrong.
To that end, I just adore this line up by Unaluna. I’m a huge fan of the little colorful dress and this collection offers multiple shades of the same silhouette.
Prices range from $198 to $297 for regular sizes, which is a bit pricey for jersey that will probably require a body shaper to hide any lumps and bumps.
Still, the line offers drapes and sizes appropriate for hiding a variety of body issues. Choose carefully and know thy flaws. There’s even a Unaluna Plus line that looks rather promising. I’m fond of the Rebecca dress available in up to a 4XL. I’m not so fond of the Celine Catsuit, which just looks a bit much.
Dressed pictured: Fergie above, $297 (also available in black, purple, navy and chocolate) and the Andrea, $248 (also available in olive, chocolate and navy).
