Jewelry at the Gap?
Well, I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. As everyone attempts to break out of pigeon-holes and supply more and more impulse buy items, the Gap (known for T-shirts, knits and denim) is drifting into the world of costume jewelry. And it’s pretty cute, because it looks a lot like some of the Target jewels that the retail chain is probably piggybacking on. The ribbon and bead necklace at right goes for about $29.50. Not a bad price, especially when you can already anticipate the $9.99 sale price.
The line debuts in July and will initially be featured in about 200 doors. Expect woven, natural styles that will look good paired with Gap favorites.

Great - more cheap, disposable, plastic crap made in a third world country by small children. Once upon a time, women decided that looking fashionable wasn’t worth killing birds to have the “it” feather in their hats. That is how the Audubon Society was founded. I wonder what it will take before women come to beleive that items made under unfair labor practices are NEVER fashionable, no matter how “cute” they look or how cheap you can buy them.
There is no such thing as “cheap chic”.
