Queen of the micro-mini preaches biz casual
The giddy fashionista Jill Manoff who professes a love of Daisy Dukes, micro minis and dresses that most women would consider skimpy shirts has a new gig. Manoff is Alive Mag’s Fashion Editor and the go-to-girl for almost any runway show in town, including the upcoming St. Louis Fashion Week juggernaut.
But apparently, her boundless energy extends to being an internet expert on business casual for About.com. Check out her section, blog, forum here.
As you would expect, she dishes on office chic with a wry eye. In her blog, she offers: “This whole business about not being able to sport open-toed shoes at work is pretty upsetting — especially to women whose closets are overflowing with strappy stilettos and platform sandals. But, as I see it, rules are meant to be broken and, upon discovering the hot Fall ‘08 footwear trend — opaque tights paired with highly-breathable heels — it’s clear that there is finally a plausible (and fashionable!) way to wear your favorite footwear without getting a slap on the wrist.”
And she offers up advice for men with 6 essentials for every guy.
