Now through July 10, KFC fans with a creative eye can go to KFC.com to submit their design for a cash prize ($1,000), trip to New York City during Fashion Week 2010 and a year of free KFC.

Well, the grand prize will actually receive $1,825 in KFC gift checks. If that doesn’t last you more than a year, you may have a Kentucky Fried addiction.

That’s a lot of finger lickin. OK, someone had to say it.

The winner will also have the opportunity to have their shirts sold on KFC.com. Net proceeds from sales will go to Colonel’s Scholars, a charity for underprivileged students

The top 12 design will be posted on July 13 and America will decide which three designs will be sold on KFC.com and who’s design is tops.

The Colonel is currently selling some political tees on his site, you can choose from the “Left Wing” T-shirt or the “Right Wing” or my favorite, “Right Wing, Left Wing, Tastes the Same To Me.”

And if anyone out there knows why we pronounce Colonel like there’s an “r” in it, I’d really like to know.
