Denim from polished hippie to hilly billy grunge, Part II
Before JT, the show at Miss Sixty was all the more entertaining because they gave all the regional press fashion folk front row. Yippee. Someone even took my picture thinking that I might be someone, I didn’t want to disappoint them, so I tried to look aloof and distant. But on to the show…. this is also a denim-based brand, but there was nothing distressed about the city chic updated hippie looks from this brand. The shows are always fun and energetic and the fashions are always youthful yet sophisticated. The press notes say that the collection is “sweet and soft but never saccharine” and I would agree. I am a huge fan of the newest jean silhouette — cropped and full length harem pants. The pants look as flattering as boot cuts or gauchos, but the bubbled hem is more contemporary and edgy. Check out most of the finale on the video. Sorry if it’s a little jerky, I’m new to videography and I was still a little excited about sitting front row.
