Running back Ronnie Wingo will make his first campus visit to Illinois the weekend of Friday, Dec. 5 and head to Missouri the following weekend, according to information provided by St. Louis University High coach Gary Kornfeld today.

Wingo will schedule visits to Alabama, Arkansas and Kansas afterward. That is, if he doesn’t make a decision after trips to Champaign and Columbia.

“He’ll make his trips with those two being the first. It could be over right then and there, for all intents and purposes,” Kornfeld said. “I think it could be over those first two weekends because they’re both great programs and both are close to home.”

Kornfeld’s program at SLUH has placed numerous players at Division I schools through the years, including his son, Mark, Matt Sinclair, Henry Jones and Jason Dulic at Illinois.

Illinois coach Ron Zook and assistants Reggie Mitchell and Tom Sims paid a visit to SLUH on the Friday of the Illini’s bye week recently. The following week, Missouri coach Gary Pinkel was on campus with assistant coach Cornell Ford.
