Poll: Does red wine keep you looking younger?

I visited my dermatologist last week for a skin cancer screening and she gave me some wonderful  news. Not only were none of those little bumps suspicious, but she said I had great skin for a woman my age and of fair complexion.  Since I often forget to apply sunscreen, I asked her if there might be a correlation between my skin’s condition and the amount of red wine that I consume.

I waited for her to laugh.

Instead, my gorgeous-skinned dermatologist replied, “I take resveratrol.” And she recommended I try it as well.

Coincidentally, I had just finished writing a piece about the substance that’s scheduled to appear in Thursday’s health section. Resveratrol is  a naturally occurring antioxidant found in red wines and produced by a variety of plants. Much of the buzz  about resveratrol stems from tests on animals, particularly those on obese mice. Promising results have shown that high dosages of resveratrol might combat heart disease, diabetes, cancer and other diseases of aging.
However, there hasn’t been much testing on humans and researchers at Washington University School of Medicine are among those working to see if taking resveratrol will produce the same effect as a low calorie diet in a small group of patients.

Hey, if resveratrol can help me look like my dermatologist, I’m game. Are you?

Do you think red wine can help you stay young?

YES! It does work! I have been using the vine skincare line by nutragrape for 3 years. It uses the resveratrol found in muscadines (which have the HIGHEST levels of resveratrol when compared with anything else). the muscadines’ resveratrol comes directly from their sister company duplin winery. i can honestly say, i have seen amazing improvements in my skin. a few years ago i had a spot under my left eye which turned out to be malignant…it was removed, but i have not had any issues since using the muscadine skincare face cream. I too take nutragrape - which is the muscadine resveratrol supplement and it really is amazing. i know science can explain a lot better than me, but i know how i feel and how i look and it all feels and looks good.

It does help. Of all the winos back in the gutters of my hometown, Gary, Ind., none looked their age.
Actually, the chemicals in many red, skinned fruit, are extremely beneficial — grapes, tomatoes, berries, even apples. But medical science hasn’t figured out how. They just know certain molecules are there when they’re testing the markers for health.
The key about resveratrol is that you’d need to drink gallons of wine a day to get the health benefits — maybe. So what the medical community is beginning to think is not enough attention is given to the package that food comes in when delivered in its natural form. So you can extract resveratrol from a grape and put it in a pill, but get better health benefits from drinking it or eating grapes because it comes with all the things nature created to make it work in small amounts.
That’s why milk and spinach deliver better doses of calcium than calcium pills.
Then, there’s the stress factor. Nothing relieves stress more than a drink of wine or two at the end of the day. So you stop frowning, your mind wanders to more pleasant things, and you relax.
That may be what really worked for the winos.

Taking Vindure has nearly doubled my endurance. - Brian Dukate, Waynesburg, PA

I am a 45 year old Triathlete, and alternate my training between biking, swimming, and running. In April, I participated in a 48 mile bike race. By the end of the race, I was suffering from severe cramping and muscle lock up. In May, I began taking Vindure, and after only three weeks, the results I experienced were remarkable. While biking, my heart rate is lower, the cramps have nearly disappeared, and my recovery time is faster. In June, I participated in the MS150 event, and cycled 88 miles, the farthest I have ever achieved. I experienced virtually no cramping despite going twice as far, and my recovery time was dramatically reduced. I heartily recommend Vindure to every athlete!

The product I take is 900 mg of concentrated polyphenols including 400 mg 98% pure Resveratrol, 400 mg Red wine grape extract, and 100 mg Quercetin. Studies at Harvard and Marywood university have shown that the addition of other polyphenols in red wine grapes and Quercetin help keep Resveratrol in the blood stream, and provide their own benefits too.

I have been taking my companys products since 1995 when it launched in North America. With the high quality leading edge supplements I have been prescription drug free from a diagnosis of Fibryomyalgia, Chronic Fatique and Myofacial Pain Syndrom since ‘96 and taking the New Genesis with X-tranol-24 since it’s launch April 6th 200. I immediatlely noticed my energy improve on the first ounce of the New Genesis with X-tranol-24 and within 3 days the chronic back pain I had been suffering with for a very long time was just gone. I am sleeping better as well. Neat, huh?

Every ounce of New Genesis with X-tranol-24 is equal to drinking 10 bottles of Red Wine guaranteed. And it tastes really, really good.
