Researchers say cancer cells smell; weekends ruin diets

Men’s Health makes note of a recent study which found that cancer cells are made of different chemical compounds than healthy cells and have different odor profiles. “After years of using dogs to sniff out cancer, a new study says doctors will be able to do so as well,” the manly mag says.

And now for a real buzz kill as we head into the weekend. (But isn’t that what I’m here for?) Real Age points out that ”people on diet or exercise routines consistently stopped losing weight — or worse, gained it — over weekends.” They also offer tips on how to avoid packing on the pounds.

Perhpas nutritionist Cynthia Sass has some answers. She’s come up with a list of 5 foods people often mistake for being healthy, including pretzels, spinach wraps and vitamin water. Read about it at Prevention
