Illinois swine flu cases jumps to 82
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
There are now 82 confirmed cases of swine flu in Illinois, state health officials announced today. That’s up from nine cases yesterday.
The large overnight jump in the number of cases was expected after the CDC in Atlanta gave authority to states to test their own samples and hasten the process. There are also 40 suspected cases in Illinois. It is unclear where in the state the samples came from.
Missouri is still reporting two confirmed and six suspected cases. For more information on swine flu in Illinois, visit
