Swine flu update: More cases in St. Louis and southern Illinois

Another teenager in St. Louis County has swine flu, the state health department reported late Thursday. That makes 10 confirmed and four probable cases of swine flu in the state. Another St. Louis county teenager and a 24-year-old man from O’Fallon are also included in that count.
Health departments are no longer recommending school closures when students have the flu because of the generally mild course the illness takes.
Illinois is now reporting 393 cases of swine flu, including the first to reach southern Illinois, in Franklin County.
