Mark your calendar for 7 p.m. Monday, May 18, when Maryland Heights city government has a hearing on the proposed Aquaport-Creve Coeur Park Trail.
A public hearing will be in the Maryland Heights Centre, 2344 McKelvey Road. Citizens will learn about the proposed project and offer comments.
The city wants to build a two-mile asphalt trail between the two facilities. Anyone can attend the hearing because the regional Great Rivers Greenway agency is helping to draw up plans. Great Rivers Greenway promotes and creates, trails, green spaces and parks throughout the St. Louis region.
The Aquaport-Creve Coeur Park trail was included in the final recommendations of the Citizens Advisory Group on Greenways and Trails, a board looking at places to build parks and trails.
