Illinois residents, Kirkwood students can get H1N1 vaccine today
The East Side Health District in Illinois is offering free H1N1 vaccines from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today to residents in high risk groups: caretakers of infants 6 months and younger, health care workers, anyone 6 months to 24 years old and anyone 24 to 64 years old who has an at-risk medical condition including asthma, diabetes, heart disease or cancer. Pregnant women will not be offered vaccine at this clinic and are asked to call their obstetrician.

Another free H1N1 vaccine clinic will be offered today from 3 to 6 p.m. in the East Alton Middle School gym. The clinic is only offering nasal spray vaccines, which are only recommended for healthy people ages 2 to 49. For more information click here.
Kirkwood School District students can receive free H1N1 vaccines from 5 to 8 p.m. today at North Kirkwood Middle School, 11287 Manchester Road. There will be 1,000 vaccines available, including 700 shots and 300 nasal sprays.
