The holiday eating season has arrived. It arrived with the first bag of Halloween candy and will stick around until that last chili dog on Super Bowl afternoon.
The myth is people gain five and even 10 pounds during this season. But the National Institute for Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disease says you’ll more than likely gain about a pound. The real issue, they say, is the extra weight accumulates over the years .
Still, who can resist the big Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas dinner, office parties, New Year’s Eve bashes, parties at friends’ homes, restaurant holiday buffet specials … ?
Can you resist? And if so, how?

Will you watch your calories this holiday eating season?

Luckily, due to genes, I have never had to diet or restrict my Holiday or any other menues, so I will enjoy myself to the ultimate. I am the Mom preparing the dinner, by the way.

Rae……………people all over the world are reading your comment and are green with envy. I, on the other hand, gain weight merely smelling food. But I answered “not a chance.” I eat like there’s no tomorrow over the holidays and deal with the consequences on Jan. 2 when I break my New Year’s resolution of losing weight. **sigh**
