Former SLU midfielder John DiRaimondo, who has yet to get off the bench for D.C. United this season, is being loaned to third division Harrisburg for a USL2 match this weekend in Bermuda, reports Steve Goff in his Washington Post blog. The other Billiken in D.C., Brandon Barklage, has now had two appearances in league matches, playing 33 minutes and committing 3 fouls. His rate of one foul per 11 minutes is the highest on the team.

Elsewhere for players with local ties, Brian McBride of Chicago has five goals in six games and leads the league. (I voted him second behind Kasey Keller on my MLS player of the month ballot.)

Another former Billiken in Chicago, Tim Ward, has started all six games on the back line and has an assist.

Borgia High’s Matt Pickens is 1-1 in goal for Colorado, with a 1.50 GAA.

In Houston, Brad Davis has a goal and an assist after playing every minute so far. One goal, by the way, puts him second on the team in scoring. The Dynamo have four goals this season in five games.

Over in Kansas City, Jack Jewsbury has started all six games and has an assist and two yellow cards.

For the Galaxy, Kyle Patterson has appeared in two games, started one, and has an assist. Chris Klein has started four of five games and also has an assist.

In New England, Steve Ralston has appeared in just two games because of an injury and has a goal and an assist. Taylor Twellman has yet to play.

And Preki, coaching Chivas, has his team in first place with 16 points from seven games.

If I left anyone out, let me know.

I believe Ballwin’s Pat Noonan is on Columbus’ roster, but has not played. Not sure if he is injured or what.

I should have included Noonan on the list, even though he hasn’t played. (After all, I put in Twellman.) He’s been out with a back injury but could make his season debut for Columbus on Saturday against Toronto.
