SLU’s Barklage scores for D.C. United

In case you missed it — it was a U.S. Open Cup play-in match and not a league match — former SLU midfielder Brandon Barklage made his first start for D.C. United on Wednesday and scored his first goal in a 2-0 win over Dallas.
As is often the case in midweek Open Cup matches, teams used their younger players and this gave Barklage a chance to get in a game. Another former Billiken, John DiRaimondo, was on the bench for the game but didn’t get in.
