I’m happy to report that finally, there is barbecue at Country Club Plaza. Last October, Fiorella’s Jack Stack Barbecue opened on the pedestrian-friendly Plaza, south of downtown KC. I got to give the ribs a try over the New Year’s weekend. Ribs for lunch rocked as we watched the Chiefs game on our tableside flatscreen TV.
Jack Stack may not be as well-known to St. Louisans as Gates or Arthur Bryant’s, so if your KC stay is short and you’re in that area, you won’t miss out on some great barbecue. I didn’t try the burnt ends, but they’re also a popular pick.
