Sailing on Carlyle Lake
Now it’s time to head back to work after a long holiday weekend. If you need something to look forward to, look no further than Carlyle Lake.
Located about 50 miles east of St. Louis, Carlyle Lake will be filled with would-be sailors on Saturday, June 7. The Carlyle Sailing Association will be gearing up for “Visitors Day” to show newbies what sailing is all about. You’ll learn the difference between a rope and a line, or a Hobie Cat and a Cabin Boat.
We’re mentioning this event now because the registration deadline is May 30. Last year’s Visitors Day drew more than 190 guests.
