Canine cannonball at the Lake
The wet fur will be flying at the Lake of the Ozarks second annual Canine Cannonball competition, set for this weekend (June 6-8) at the Dog Days Bar & Grill in Osage Beach.
Canine Cannonball is free for spectators. Registration fees for dogs will be $20 per dog for Big Air Wave (limit 40 dogs), $25 per dog for Speed Retrieve (limit 40 dogs), and $30 per dog for Extreme Vertical (limit 16 dogs).
Money raised at the event will benefit the Dogwood Animal Shelter, a no-kill shelter in the Lake area.
Festivities will get started at 3 p.m. Friday.
The Big Air Wave dock jumping competition will start at 5 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday.
The Extreme Vertical high jumping contest will be held at 7 p.m. Friday.
