One-third of Americans would party with Palin
An Alaska cruise with Sarah Palin? You betcha!
Travelzoo, an online guide to travel deals, did a survey and found that a third of Americans would choose to go on vacation with vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
While Democrat Barack Obama led the candidates overall with 35 percent of the vacation-partner vote, Palin was just two points behind at 33 percent.
Palin was three times as popular with Republicans as her running mate, with 60 percent saying they’d vacation with her and only 22 percent willing to kick back with John McCain.
Democrats were just as likely to pick Palin as their own VP candidate, with both Palin and Joe Biden getting 12 percent of the vote.
And where would they go? More than half (51 percent) of Republicans would head out on an Alaskan cruise while the same percentage of Democrats favor a Caribbean beach.
