CheapTickets calls St. Louis a hidden gem in today’s economy
Cheap.Tickets.com has named St. Louis a hidden gem and the second best city to travel to in today’s age of “cheaponomy.”
The online travel company says it partnered with SmartMoney.com to survey more than 1,000 consumers and found they are making changes in travel plans to save money.
Austin, Texas, was named the No. 1 city to travel to with an average daily hotel rate of $78.70 and dozens of free activities.
St. Louis came in second with an average daily hotel rate of $83.63, and free attractions like the Zoo, Art Museum, Laumeier Sculpture Park and Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site.
Denver ranked third on the list.
