Osage Beach’s Inn at Harbour Ridge wins B&B award
Sue and Ron Westenhaver, owners of the Inn at Harbour Ridge in Osage Beach, Mo., were named among the top 10 innkeepers of the year worldwide in the 2008-2009 Best of Bedandbreakfast.com Awards.
The annual awards are based on nearly 50,000 independent reviews submitted to BedandBreakfast.com.
The Westernhavers opened the inn in 2000 and built it specifically as a B&B, in an environment of whimsy and romance. The Inn has four guestrooms: Happily ever after; Uncle Bill’s place; Captain’s quarters and the love nest.
There’s a big red barn that has a private cottage and a guestroom called A Roll in the Hay. That makes me think of “Young Frankenstein.”
In any case, the rooms have whirlpool tubs, showers, private decks, wifi, a swim deck and boat dock. And it’s minutes from Lake of the Ozarks.
