List-lovers will want to take a look at the May issue of Food & Wine (on newstands April 15) or check out Foodandwine.com.

The magazine has gone a bit list-crazy, rating the world’s best food cities, the best restaurants near tourist sights, the best hotel restaurants, the best bars, and more.

Want to sample the fare at one of 20 rising-star restaurants? The closest is in Chicago (L2O). Next  closest is in New York City (Momofuku Ko). Also in North America is Origin in Toronto; the magazine calls it “too new to review,” but when I called the number in the article, I learned that Origin isn’t expect to open until September.
